Giving
Leaving a gift to the American Osteopathic Foundation in your will or by beneficiary designation is a great way to invest in the future of Osteopathic medicine today, and make a lasting difference for the students, physicians, educators, and researchers tomorrow.
How You Can Benefit
- You decide how much to give—no gift is too small.
- Your gift costs you nothing now.
- You retain control of your assets during your lifetime and, if your circumstances change, you can modify the gift.
- You may choose to keep your gift anonymous.
- You can leave a gift in honor or memory of someone who inspired your commitment to the Osteopathic profession.
- You will be remembered as someone who made the Osteopathic profession better for future generations.
The Osteopathic profession has provided a good living for me. I feel it’s my duty to give back, and I can think of no better way to do it than by providing scholarships to deserving students.

Choosing the option that's right for you
Leave a bequest in your will or trust. This costs you nothing now and can be made at any age or income level. Your bequest may be made for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your total estate, or the residual amount (after expenses have been paid).

- Create your will at no cost through our partnership with FreeWill
Make a gift by beneficiary designation. Name the AOF a beneficiary of any of these types of accounts, and you can help the AOF for years to come:
- Retirement Accounts
- Life Insurance Policies
- Bank or Brokerage Account
- Certificates of Deposit
- Common Stock
As with any planned gift, please consult with your attorney and/or tax advisor before making any decision.
